Is Shaukly live?
Not yet. We're building and verifying teachers in a few focus cities first. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when your city is ready.
Is it only for kids?
Kids lead, but adults can book anything for themselves: dance, fitness, music, languages, workshops.
How much does it cost parents?
Nothing to download. A small convenience fee (2%, ₹10–₹99) on bookings, waived on Autopay months and during launch.
What does "verified" mean?
Five checks: ID, qualification, intro video, place, and background check. Each badge is tappable and shows what we checked.
Is Aadhaar mandatory for teachers?
No. Teachers can verify with PAN plus a passport, driving licence or voter ID through DigiLocker. We never store a full ID number.
What if a class doesn't happen?
Your money is held until the session is done. A teacher no-show means a refund or reschedule, your choice.
Can my child use the app?
No. Children have profiles managed by you, with no login.
Can college students teach?
Yes, from 18. Home visits require a background check.
What do teachers pay?
15% on a new family's first booking, 8% on repeat months, 0% on families they bring themselves. Plus GST. No coins or lead fees.
Which languages?
English and Hindi now, regional languages city by city.
